Liazon Wins Sixth Consecutive Digital Health Award

February 12, 2018

BUFFALO, NY, February 12, 2018– Liazon, a leading provider of benefits marketplaces (also known as private exchanges) for employers, announced that it has been recognized as one of the nation’s best online health resources with a Silver Award in the Web-based category of the Digital Health Awards. The awards are organized by the Health Information Resource Center, a clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields. Submissions are judged on content, format, success in reaching the targeted health audience, and overall quality.

“One of the great things our clients experience after moving to our marketplace is the improvement in how people feel about their benefits packages, their company and their financial futures,” said Kevin House, National Leader, Client Relationship and Sales, Benefits Delivery and Administration at Willis Towers Watson. “Today’s multi-generational, diverse workforce wants greater choice and flexibility when it comes to benefits, and we’re proud to be recognized by the Digital Health Awards for the quality of our service and our ability to meet employer needs in helping employees to make smart, informed decisions about their benefits.”

Liazon-powered benefits marketplaces allow employers to offer a range of products and plan types, with varying deductibles, to give employees meaningful choice and the ability to select a portfolio of products and plans that works best for them and their budgets. Surveys of employees given the flexibility to determine their own health insurance and ancillary benefit needs show that they spend more thoughtfully and have higher overall satisfaction with their benefits portfolio; one year after moving to a benefits marketplace, 92% of employees reported that they were satisfied with the benefits they selected on the marketplace and 75% were more likely to stay with their employer because of their benefits program[1].

In addition to helping employers attract and retain top talent, Liazon’s benefits marketplaces also give employers more predictability around spending: 86% of participating employers reported that the marketplace helped them control benefits costs[2].
