The Bright Choices Exchange is an online benefits marketplace that is changing the way employers and employees buy benefits. Bright Choices is distributed to clients through a network of over 400 brokers across the country.

“Liazon welcomes Humana to the Bright Choices Exchange. A store is only as good as the products it carries, and integrating Humana’s medical with embedded HumanaVitality, dental, vision and workplace products into Bright Choices gives employers new options to offer their employees, allowing them to build the right portfolio of benefits for their individual needs,” said Ashok Subramanian, Liazon’s co-founder and chief executive officer.

Bright Choices helps employers save money on their healthcare costs by setting predictable budgets while allowing employees to personalize their benefits package with a selection of health, dental, vision, life, disability, and other benefits from top national and regional providers. Award-winning decision support and education helps employees make smarter benefits selections, and expense tracking tools help them manage and pay expenses year-round. Advanced cloud computing infrastructure and robust security protection ensures continual access and safeguards confidentiality of data transmission.

Bright Choices’ users with a Humana medical plan can participate in Humana’s wellness and rewards solution, HumanaVitalityTM. HumanaVitality is the proven, data-driven wellness and rewards program that focuses developing and reinforcing healthy lifestyles. HumanaVitality is grounded in a scientific and actuarial approach to wellness; focused on highly individualized engagement to impact all members regardless of current health status.

“Liazon and Humana share a belief in empowering consumers with good information and proven tools to help them achieve lifelong well-being,” said John Wiesler, Humana’s vice president of development. “A healthy workforce is key to increased productivity, reduced absenteeism, improved talent retention and long-term health care cost savings.”
