This marks the fifth Digital Health Award won by Liazon for its Bright Choices® portal

BUFFALO, NY,
August 3, 2017 – Liazon, a leading provider of private benefits exchanges for large and small businesses, announced it has received the Bronze Award for the Digital Health Awards Portal Patient Education category. The awards recognize the nation’s best digital health resources and is organized by the Health Information Resource Center, a clearinghouse for professionals who work in consumer health fields. Liazon has now received five Digital Health Awards for its benefits portal, sold under its flagship brand Bright Choices, as well as several privately labeled brands. It was the only private exchange recognized for web-based digital health in the category of Portal Patient Education.

“We’re proud that Bright Choices has been recognized once again by the Digital Health Awards,” said Alan Cohen, co-founder, Liazon. “Employees today prefer to shop for their own benefits and demand choice in benefits offerings. We’ve continually refined our product over the years to meet their expectations and those of their employers, who find private exchanges are a way to offer more products and plans and control costs. Providing a superior guided shopping experience and education within the portal has always been a key priority for us.”

Liazon’s Bright Choices features a guided shopping experience, which generates a unique, personalized recommendation of products and plans, along with a display of total costs, including the employer’s contribution, for each employee. It also offers an array of education tools, which help guide employees in choosing the plans that meet their coverage needs. In addition, advanced cloud computing infrastructure and robust security measures ensure uninterrupted access and confidentiality of data transmission.
